Don’t panic just yet, as opposed to popular belief, it’s relatively easy to get stains out of ceramic tiles. Most good quality ceramic tiles have an absorption rate of less than 5%, so if  you’ve spilled something on your floor/wall/counter you have around 20 minutes to clean it up.

Who are the main culprits?
Coffee, Juice, Wine, Tea, Grease, Tar, Gum, Blood, and Water high in minerals.
Ceramic tiles are usually chosen for surfaces, as opposed to natural materials, because of their abilities to resist abrasions, stains, and chemicals. With that being said, it’s always best to start with a soft solution because not all tiles are resistant to hard chemicals. Never use Hydrogen Chloride (Flash) on its own to clean surfaces. Start by wiping excess residue off the surface of the affected area. When the area is clean, you can see the tile surface, if a stain does exist, continue by dabbing it with warm water using a rag. If the stain is persistent, the next step is to try  baking soda and white vinegar or Hydrogen Peroxide. By this point soft stains should be out of your surfaces. For harder stains caused by grease, permanent ink, or blood, start by preparing a diluted bleach solution, Never use raw bleach on surfaces. Thin out your bleach with water in a mixture that consists of a 1 to 10 ratio, 1 part bleach, 10 parts water. Soak a clean rag in this mixture and place it on top of the affected area, let it sit for around 20 min, you can also spray this solution and let it sit on the affected are for the same amount of time. Dry the area with paper towels and repeat until the stain is gone. Other safe methods include using Paint thinner or vinegar for stains that appear to be above the surface, or excess minerals that are left after water has dried up on your surfaces.
